"Hiya, I’m Annie, a mixed-media artist living in Castlemaine on Dja Dja Wurrung land in Australia. I find myself drawn to the way nature holds both strength and fragility at the same time. This balance inspires much of my work, especially in my portraits, where I try to capture the vulnerability, truth, and beauty that make us human. In both my own art practice and my work as an Art Psychotherapist, I see art as a way to make sense of what’s happening inside. Creating something with our hands can help us shape and understand our inner world, offering a gentle sense of containment and self-awareness without feeling overwhelmed, but interconnected."
